The burger was great and so were the fries (especially how they were swirled). Service - Service was a little slow for how empty it was and compared to how other tables were being served. Every other aspect of service was good though. Atmosphere - I'd say the overall atmosphere was generic for a small city brewery. Nothing special, but by no means bad. Just sparse on the whole. Maybe more monkey themed items? I don't know.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Chris Patten2024-07-21Only brewery in Dayton and is a good one. Lots of selections and even had a watermelon seltzer for the wife on tap. Food is always good. Try the catfish, a slab almost as long as your forearm. I bit more breading for my taste, but some folks like that. Service was awesome too.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.D Daniel Koslicki2024-07-11Awesome thank youTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Ray Malish2024-07-09We came in on July 8th around 6:00 pm. Check#146 at table 45. We were sat promptly by the host and given menus. That was the last interaction we had with anyone for around 20 minutes. We finally spoke to our waitress Courtney and she took our drink order. She brought us our drinks relatively quickly. That was the last interaction we had with her for another 25 or so minutes. After multiple times of her walking past our table and making direct eye contact we had enough. She comes back to ask if we would like our empty drinks refilled. Never a mention of asking if we actually wanted to order food. We asked for our check. A presumed manager did touch our table after this ordeal and apologized. We’ve always enjoyed the food here. The beer menu is never updated though, and you’re almost always out of something. It’s disappointing, this place would be so much better if your wait staff could pay attention to more than one table at a time. Spent almost an hour of my evening here and it was a not a good experience. I want to like this place and come back but your speed of service is always hit or miss.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Charles Wade2024-07-07TL/DR: Great people, outstanding food, and superb beer. Scored a rare “10” for the fries. We stopped in at lunch. I ordered a ham and cheese on a croissant and my wife had a burger and corn nuggets (?) I think they were called. I had a flight of 10 beers they have on tap. All of the beer sold here is their own, nothing bought and relabeled. First, the beer: I asked for the flight to sample any IPAs and expand from that. There were a few IPAs and all of them good to great. One, “Boots” is very similar to my favorite beer made by Flying Dog. It’s not available here which is no longer an issue. Boots is an exceptional beer. I’m glad to have found this as it’s now my “go to.” The rest ran the gamut to include very dark, coffee forward beer. The range available will certainly satisfy most if not all. The food: I expected my ham and cheese to be made with thin sliced ham. To my surprise, it was a thick dinner like slice. The sandwich was outstanding. You could taste the ham but it was not too much. The fries scored a rare 10. These are not fast food fries. They are also not your chain restaurant steak fries. They are thick and curly. The outside is crispy and hold their shape, unlike regular steak fries. The inside is an almost creamy potato cooked perfectly and hot throughout. Getting the outside crispy and the thick inside so perfect is an accomplishment. Taste, heat, salt, all to perfection. The people were great. Friendly, and home style environment. Our Pepsi glasses never ran out. And, dispute two dinners, a flight of 10 beers, and a growler with beer, the price was shockingly low for what I was expecting. This was the best dining experience I’ve had in Dayton.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Hippie Chick2024-07-01We stopped in here for a bite to eat when we checked out Dayton, TN as a possible place to relocate to after retirement. We got there about 30 minutes after opening and there were a couple other tables already seated, but we mostly had our pick of places to sit. Our waiter, Zach, was friendly and answered all of our questions, including the ones that had nothing to do with the restaurant & its food. First up, Hubby and I split an order of House Chips with ranch dressing. Usually I find house chips taste a little burnt & dry, but these were 💯 perfect! (The photo was taken after we had started digging into them). We ate almost all of them, because they were so addictive, but there were so many of them that it really affected our ability to finish our lunch! Speaking of our lunch, I had the cheese quesadilla (though there were plenty of other options I could have chosen from!), with the tomato basil soup. The portions were huge! The quesadilla had to have been made with the biggest tortilla known to humankind. It was about the size of half of a 12" pizza! And it was SO OOEY GOOEY, CHEESEY DELICIOUS! 🤤 It came with sour cream (so fresh it looked like fresh ice cream!) and salsa. The tomato basil soup was topped with grated cheese and had big chunks of tomato & lots of visible flakes of basil in it. So flavorful and tasty. It came with saltine crackers. Hubby got the" Cubano" sandwich. Being from Florida, we weren't sure if Tennessee was up to the task of making a Cuban, but they did a really good job. He got it without the pickles (he does not like pickles for some strange reason... It has something to do with living near a pickle plant and learning how they're really made), but he said it was just as good as what we get in Florida. That's saying something. Unfortunately, neither of us could eat all of our food, because there was so much! Next time we may just split a meal, but we never would have been able to experience all this delectable food if we'd done that this time, so I'm glad we didn't. The atmosphere of the place was very enjoyable. It had photos all over the walls of the Scopes Trial, which happened in Dayton in the 1920s. So it was educational AND nutritional all at the same time. We will definitely be back again the next time we come back to Dayton, and we one thousand times recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Ask for Zach's table.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Joseph Massengill2024-06-24When you set there for 15 min and the server walks by 5 times and then decided to take your drink order you would give one star as wellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.John Teague2024-06-22Very good service even thought they were extremely busy when we arrived.
